Background
In 1963, School of Nursing and Midwifey was initially extablished in Pharapokklao Hospital, Chanthaburi Province by Pra Bamrasnaradura, The Minister of Public Health. Later, in 1965 it opened its doors and introduced an undergraduate program of nursing and midwifery under the patronage of Her Royal Highness the Queen Rumbhi Brani.
In 1974, the school was transferred to the Division of Nursing College Affair, renamed as "Phrapokklao Nursing College, Chanthaburi", and introduced a four-year Certicate of Nursing program.
In 1993, the Division of Nursing College Affair was merged to the Health Workforce Development Institute, which is currently known as Praboromrajchanok Institute.
In 1997, PPK NC was affiliated with Burapha University and currently offers a full range of academic program to accomplish a Bachelor of Nursing Science.
Philosophy
PPK NC believes that nursing is a holistic care with kidness, morality, ethics and professional law basic, requiring the instigation of nursing science and art. Hence, a program absolutely requires standard and quality assurance. It should regard student-centered and multi-teaching approaches and direct-experience practices. The instructors should kindly provided knowledge and skills under supportive environment to build systematic thinking, life-long learning skills and life skills and promote professional and universal competencies and marality among nursing students in order for them to offer good services to serve patients and the sociery as a whole.

PPK NC a leading academic institute with nationwide acceptance, producing health personnel as well as enhancing health personnel's competencies with the regards of community-based participation.
